faithfulsamplingofRoland's*MKS-20keyboardsynthesizer.MK
DigitalKeysisavailableinthreeformats,ReasonRefill,
WusikEngine,andKontakt/EXS/SFZ.

Backin1986,thereweren'tmanygoodwaystotakeagoodkeyboard
soundswithyouwhiletouring.Sampledpianoswereintheirinfancy,
withextremelylowsampleratesandsmallROMsizes.Oneanswerto
thisproblemwasSASsynthesis.Thisuniqueformofsynthesisuses
nosampleswhatsover,andproducesaveryrealisticsound.Still,
itsnota'realpiano',sothesedaysthesoundismoreusefulfor
itsretrocharacter.Itstillsoundsgreat!

MKDigitalKeysbringsthisretrosoundtoyourmodernsampler,
whileremovingoriginallimitationslikepolyphonyandnoise.This
isanextremelycomprehensivesampling,with6samplesperoctave,7
octaves,and6velocitylayerspernote.All8tonesoftheMKSare
represented(3pianos,2EPs,Clav,HarpandVibes).Allofthis
comprisesatotalofnearly2100mono24-bit44khzsamples!

MKDigitalKeysisbuilttobescalable.AttimesduetoCPU/RAM
constraints,youwon'thaveneedforthefullextentofthesampling
describedabove.Forthosetimes,3alternatesmallerversionsof
eachtonearecontainedinside-L,MandSsizes.TheSversions
weighinatunder50mbandcanfitintoeventhemostRAM-starved
projects.
